The new
Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Mega Evolution, will be released on September 26, 2025. This set revives the Mega Evolution mechanic from the Pokémon X and Y video games and ties into the 2025 Nintendo Switch game Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Key information about the TCG set
- Expansion theme: The set features powerful new "Mega Pokémon ex" cards, such as Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex. Like previous Pokémon ex cards, they have high HP and attacks but give up three Prize cards when knocked out.
- Product lineup: The Mega Evolution set will be available in standard booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, Build & Battle Boxes, and other collections. An "Enhanced Booster Display Box" will also be sold, which includes an extra promo card.
